TRANSITIONS: From Winter to Spring, From Spring to Summer
In the collection "TRANSITIONS: From Winter to Spring, From Spring to Summer," Bailey looks at a world emerging from the neutral hues of winter. The paintings in this series capture the flutter of a crow's wing, the vibrancy of a cat's eye, and the scamper of a squirrel's tail at the moment these animals disappear into foliage. Bailey looks at the landscapes of spring and summer through the eyes of the animals greeting the warmth and fruits of the seasons. He captures a bit of what one cat sees from a garage roof and what another sees as she wakes in her pool of sun on the deck. He offers us a glimpse of how a squirrel sees the play of light as he dashes across the power lines and suggests flowers seen between the leaves of trees where crows chatter early each morning.
